College Library

The College library is central to learning and plays a key role as a place for encouraging innovation, curiosity, and problem solving. Our library is a catalyst for literacy and reading and for teaching and scaffolding inquiry learning. College library make a difference to students’ understanding and achievement and provide support for teaching and learning throughout the College. The College library is an important part of the College community and reflects and welcomes the community. Our College library plays a key role in the cultural and social life of the College. It can be a central point for engagement with all kinds of reading, cultural activities, access to information, knowledge building, deep thinking and lively discussion.

Auditorium

An Auditorium is a room built to enable an audience to hear and watch performances at venues. At St. Mary’s we have spacious Open Auditorium which show cases a number of events like , Annual Day, Talent Fests, Competitions, Performing Arts which totally contributes as a learning space.

Lecture Hall

Lecture hall is type of learning spaces, where seminars, Life skills Training programmes are conducted regularly. On the other hand, lecture hall has an excellent space for focusing the attention of a large group on a single point, with an audio-visual enabled technology.

Physics Lab

There are two spacious Physics laboratories one for I PUC and another for II PUC, which provide the students with the practical experience and knowledge. Most of the experiments prescribed for II PUC are demonstrated through animated computer programmes, developed by our own competitive members of the faculty. The lab is equipped with all the instruments to carry out the experiments prescribed in the syllabus by the PU Board.

Chemistry Lab

The Chemistry Department has a set of well trained staff, which provides individual attention to the students in both theory and practical classes. Two labs one each for I PUC and II PUC, is a store house of all the required chemicals and apparatus for conducting various experiments. The students conduct the experiments under the guidance of the staff members.

Biology Lab

The Biology department also has two labs, with all the accessories of marble table tops, over head light fittings, refrigerator, centrifuge, hot oven, human skeleton and so on and so forth. Charts, floppies visual aids, aquarium with ornamental fish etc., provides the right atmosphere for the future Doctors, Microbiologists. A team of competent lecturers guide the students for both the annual and CET exams. Field trips are organized once a year for the Biology students and practical knowledge is imparted through visits to fishery stations, horticultural research institute, IIT’s and many other well know research organisations. Human interest subject makes a deep and lasting impression on the young minds.

Computer Lab

The College has a policy of one computer per child and the College computer lab is adequately equipped for the same. Internet connectivity is provided to the students, teachers and staff in the adjacent Internet lab. Teachers assist children in seeking out information, creating multimedia content, collaborating on project work and presenting the knowledge gathered from multiple sources. Computer Science is an integral part of St.Mary’s curriculum. In this age of Computer Technology, an early exposure to the basics of computer, readies the child for the future and also helps the child to overcome any inhibitions they might have towards computer usage.
